Also I have found that the first series of Chevy Corvette rear wheel cylinders have the same diameter and piston arrangement plus they are very cheap I bought some ($17 each for a complete wheel cylinder) and ratted the springs, cups, boots and pistons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><a href=\"https:\/\/carcrank.org\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/Screenshot_20230916-134614.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"546\" height=\"292\" src=\"https:\/\/carcrank.org\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/Screenshot_20230916-134614.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4407\" srcset=\"https:\/\/carcrank.org\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/Screenshot_20230916-134614.png 546w, https:\/\/carcrank.org\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/Screenshot_20230916-134614-300x160.png 300w, https:\/\/carcrank.org\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/Screenshot_20230916-134614-500x267.png 500w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 546px) 100vw, 546px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Also the modern oil seals placed in the rear axle tubes had been running on what I realised later were wonky axles so they still leaked and destroyed another set of brake shoes.
