The Lambda has hit the road running with a 3 day motoring adventure to Rutherglen, Falls Creek and back, something over 1000 kms in temperatures ranging from 11° (Falls Creek) to 35° (Rutherglen). Accompanying us were Des and Linton in the Big (11 Litres) Hisso, John and Bob in the DM Delage, David and Clare in the 3 Litre Bentley. From that lot we were bringing up the rear but only by a smidition from the mortal ones, the Big Hisso was in a league of it’s own, there really is no substitute for cubic inches or in this company cubic centimeters.
Being a Lambda owner that does not have a spare engine, I must do the best I can to preserve the one I have. As I have been known to embrace technology with what some would say undue haste, it is of little surprise to those that know me that the Lambda has provided me with even more implausible excuses to buy technology hence the Seek Thermal Camera. If you were wondering it fits onto the bottom of your phone (well mine anyway).
Images of the Lambda and Harry below. The car had only been idling for about 10 minutes and was registering only about 50° C on the gauge not sure about Harry. The Radiator is 90 years old hence the reason some of it seems to be having a rest from the rigours of cooling water.
